How does it work?

  • Simply type in the model number or the IMEI number of your device into the search box and select your device.
  • Follow the simple steps to create an order and choose your preferred payment method.
  • Post your device to us using our free returns service.
  • On arrival the device will be checked and payment will be processed.

What do I need to send with my device?

The minimum things we require is the device and the battery for the device. We happily accept all other accessories as well i.e. mains charger, retail box and other accessories i.e. headphones etc.

What is an IMEI number?

An IMEI number is a unique 15 digit number assigned to any mobile device, this number is either displayed on the rear of the handset normally underneath the battery or can be found by typing in *#06# in to the dial screen on your mobile device.

How do I find out what model my mobile device is?

This process is usually the same on most mobile devices. It can either be found physically on the handset usually underneath the devices battery or it can be found in the devices system menu. If you are having trouble identifying the model number for your device please contact us and we will help you find out the model number.

My mobile device is not displayed on the website?

If your mobile device is not displayed on the website please email us the model number to and we will send you quote within 24 hours.

Is there a limit on the amount of handsets I can send in?

No. There is no limit and you can send as many as you wish. The more mobile phone's you sell to us, the more cash you will receive! However we do need you to contact us first if it is more than 10 handsets.

What type of postage do I use when sending you the phone?

We provide a Royal Mail tracked returns service for all orders. This option requires you to pack your device securely within the packaging we send out to you and take it to your local post office to send it to us, they will provide you with receipt which you should keep in a safe place for future reference. This service covers your devices within the package for a value of up to £20, we advise you purchase extra contents cover for all other services from the post office if your order value exceeds £20. Devices are posted to us at your own risk. Phones 2 Pounds holds no responsibility for mobile phones that do not successfully arrive.

Can I send in a phone that’s barred or blocked?

A barred/blocked phone is one that does not work with any simcard due to the network provider blocking it. This might be because the phone is reported as stolen. Any phones that are sent to us in this state will be confiscated and forwarded on to the police.
